I've grown up visiting the city of Charleston with my family at least twice a year, if not more frequently. Staying on the island of Seabrook just 30 minutes from the bustling downtown I became accustomed to living in a relaxed state yet having the excitement of the city at my fingertips.

There are so many aspects of this area that I am in love with. From the historic backdrop of the buildings to the charm that continues throughout the modern day additions, it is the epitome of a southern city.

While I still visit this area with my family frequently for mini vacations, I take any chance I get to travel there solo to visit my friends that attend College of Charleston. It's always nice to 'play pretend' that Charleston is my home too, even if only for a few days.

For HPU's fall break I went down to Charleston and stayed a few days with my friends Raegan and Skye. During my time with Raegan we spent a day enjoying the fresh air and walked around downtown; shopping on King Street, visiting the Battery, and of course taking some pictures.

I spent my time with Skye attending her sorority function at a local bar and grille called the Bohemian Bull, volunteering at Charleston's Ronald McDonald house baking cookies for the families staying there, and watching the sun set over the marsh.

Overall I always feel that my time in Chuck is wholesome, filled with great company and even greater views. It will forever be a dream of mine to live in Charleston at some point of my lifetime!
