Frolicking in France

Being in France for only a day was enough time to be completely captivated by it. From the quaint city streets to the aging architecture there was not a building in sight that did not grab my attention.

The majority of my time was spent adventuring in Nice and Cannes, but the journey through various other cities to get to Nice did not disappoint.

Upon arriving in Nice I strolled through the quaint city streets while taking in the aromas that wafted through alleyways and the laidback lifestyle that all locals seemed to follow. It seemed as if Nice was trapped in a different lifetime with clothes hanging to dry from balconies, cobblestone paths on which I walked and the leisurely pace that I so easily adapted to.

I found my way to the infamous Flower Market where not only were there rows of locally grown flowers for sell but locals also bring their fresh baked goods and produce for others to purchase. I was enamored by the enchanting atmosphere and could have spent hours walking up and down the tented area.

I chose to purchase some of the fruit and croissants while at the market.

Venturing past the marketplace brought me to the coast of Nice where the crystal blue water and rocky beaches were packed with people enjoying a day in the sun.

I ended my day back where it began in Cannes. The harbor was lined with massive yachts from all over the world and sat opposite to the streets which are home to high end designers. After some window shopping I stopped at a small cafe and ordered a crepe. Seated outside I had a full view of the harbor and could hear the harmonic sounds of street performers in the air.

I may have had a quick day in France but it is one that I will never forget. I look forward to the next time I can travel back to the country that stole my heart in a matter of hours.
