One of the first places I ever traveled to outside of the country was Greece. It was truly an experience like no other and played a major role in my passion for travel.

I went during the Spring break of my junior year of high school and was accompanied by five of my best friends, which obviously made the trip even more memorable.

Since it was a trip planned through a group there were a lot of activities and tours that were pre-scheduled for us. Our first major stop was the Parthenon, located at the Acropolis in Athens. Never before had I been in the presence of countless ruins that had stood the test of time.

We continued our knowledge of the Greek culture by attending a Greek dance lesson. We learned the intricate steps of the locals to the beat of their music. I remember being captivated by the informative yet exciting environment that the class entailed.

We had a change of pace when we left the city streets of Athens to wind through the mountainous range of Delphi. I found beauty in the serenity that Mount Parnassus provided. This final stop created the perfect balance of seeing both the natural and human-made wonders of the country.
